On the occasion of the celebration of the Madrid Science Fair 2024 (XIIIFERIA madridesciencia), on behalf of the GEMF of the RSEF, a poster was made including Scikus* (Scientific Haikus) dedicated to some female physicists.

September 19, 2023 a Poetry Slam on Science took place in the library of Science and Technology of the UAB with the participation of Daniel Martín Jiménez from the PCSI group of ICMAB-CSIC with the poem Helio Líquido.
Daniel’s scientific poem Helio líquido was first published on 11th December 2023.
Un artículo de divulgación científica publicado por la RSEF en la Revista Española de Física, 37-2, abril-junio 2023.
Se trata de un texto escrito por Daniel Martín-Jiménez que, utilizando la figurativa literaria, introduce al público general o no especializado el complejo campo de la síntesis de moléculas sobre superficies. La explicación incluye como, en analogía a seguir un protocolo (receta), el diseño de tales moléculas pasa por elegir los precursores (ingredientes), la superficie (sartén) y parámetros como la temperatura para lograr producir las adecuadas reacciones (cocción) que dan lugar al producto final.
El autor ha sido partícipe en este tipo de sofisticados experimentos y es experto en diversas técnicas de microscopías locales con las que se visualizan las moléculas sintetizadas a un nivel de resolución sin precedentes.
October 29, 2023 Daniel Martín Jiménez (PCSI group) and Rosa L. Zaffino (FunNanoSurf), both from ICMAB-CSIC, organized a scientific workshop at the Science Night of Catalonia at CosmoCaixa. They rescued from the past the historical character of Fray Tomás de Berlanga, a monk whose life was devoted to Christian faith and science.
Children from 3 to 5 years learned about animals, fruits and vegetables as part of an educational and Nature care activity.
The activity was also carried out by Daniel Martin Jimenez with children living in towns of regions of the so called Empty Spain:

With illustrations by Valentina Varona Guitiérrez and text by Daniel Martín Jiménez, the book was published in 2023.

“Madame Châtelet y sus seguidoras en Instagram” es una actividad creada con motivo del 11F (2017), realizada por mujeres de los diferentes estamentos del ICMAB, y llevada a centros educativos y culturales del área de Barcelona, entre los años 2017 y 2023.
